There are two broad types of data definitions:
- Controlled calculations: These are user controlled and completely customizable. Source data is taken from the data provider and in Definitions, simple mathematical operations can be performed to create new plottables or update existing definitions, such as EBITDA or EBITDA margin.
- Functional calculations: These are predetermined and cannot be updated by the user. These include calculations such as CAGRs, custom index construction, and regression statistics.
