How do I change a definition in Definitions?

In the Data Hub, you can define how plottable items are calculated in Definitions. For example, you can change how EBITDA is calculated or the components of Total Debt. To change a definition:

  1. In Definitions, select a data category at the top of the table.
  2. Hover over the definition you would like to edit and click the pencil icon. This will open the Definition Editor. Here, you can see the name, the format, the location and the ID. The default definition will show in the first line of the definition box.
  3. Modify a calculation’s definition by updating the Name:ID [Location] field. Click +Reference to add new location fields.
  4. When ready, hit Save. The screen will reload. Expand the data item to see your new definition. 

Please note: Any definition changes will be shared with all users in your organization.
